This CD contains all 184 pieces that Chopin wrote for solo piano.
Included are 25 Preludes, 20 Nocturnes, 51 Mazurkas, 11 Polonaises, 15 Waltzes,
27 Etudes, 4 Scherzos, 4 Impromptus, 4 Ballades, 3 Sonatas, 6 works for piano
and orchestra, and 14 other works - over 1100 pages of music. Frederic
Chopin was born in Zelazowa Wola, Poland, in 1810 and died in Paris,
France, in 1849.
PUBLIC DOMAIN STATUS: Copyright dates and publisher information have been removed from all of the selections on this CD. A letter is included on the CD which states in part ". . . the files are derived from public domain music in editions that are in the public domain." The publisher has confidently informed us that they have paid no royalties to reproduce any of the music, and that all included sheet music is in the public domain in the USA. We have NOT specifically compared the sheet music on this CD with sheet music bearing a public domain copyright date.
